Youth Advisory Member
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to create a conduit for dialogue and the expression of ideas from a youth perspective. The Youth is selected/identified by the Board of Directors for their leadership, commitment to community, education, and skills. The Youth advises NGCI as an advocate for fellow youth for the benefit of all NGCI Businesses, ECN Citizens, and community at large.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Eligible candidates must be a member of Ermineskin Cree Nation
• Must be between 16 – 30 years of age.
• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel for meetings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners in a respectful and collaborative manner.
• Involved in as many NGCI events and activities, as possible
• Encourage participation from younger individuals.
• Engage in NGCI events including career fairs, youth focus groups, school presentations, AGM participation, small business forums, youth entrepreneur camp
• Assist with marketing on social media platforms
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Current resume listing the applicant’s experience, activities involving youth development, entrepreneurial activities, and/or other areas in relation to youth committees, organizations, and businesses. Include any leadership positions held and other relevant information.
2. Submit a Letter of Interest (no more than 2 double spaced typed pages) describing your interest,
your awareness and knowledge of business and your skills and competencies relevant to the position.
3. Submit three current Letters of Reference and a current Criminal Record Check
