NGCI Welcomes Newly Appointed Executive Assistant


MASKWACIS, AB – As of January 18, 2023, The Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) Board of Directors and CEO is pleased to announce that Mrs. Lori Ward, is the new Executive Assistant of
Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc.


Lori was formerly employed with Maskwacis Health Services for 22 years, working in various
capacities with the most recent being the Personnel Manager for a span of 12 years. She has
experience in Aboriginal Relations, Employee Relations, Recruitment & Retention, Performance
Management, Training & Staff Development, Policy Development, Benefits & Pension
Administration and Budget Development. She is a highly motivated, goal orientated professional
who believes in providing employers and employees with the tools and resources to set them up
for success.


Lori is originally from Peace River, Alberta and has resided in and around the Maskwacis
Community for 40 + years. She is married into the Ermineskin Cree Nation to Dennis Ward, and
for 30 years together they have raised their children and adopted children and have welcomed
several grandchildren into their lives. She enjoys watching and supporting her husband, children
and grandchildren in rodeo, hockey, and school sports; she also enjoys going to the mountains
and camping with family & friends.


Lori was also very active in the community as a co-founder of the Oskayak Youth Club,
Manager for the Maskwacis Bantam Female Hockey Team, Rodeo Secretary for the Northern
Alberta Native Cowboys Association (NANCA), and Concession Operator for various events.
With NGCI’s current vision and mission, the role of the Administrative Assistant will contribute
to the overall success. On behalf of the NGCI Board of Directors and CEO, we are pleased to
have Mrs. Ward join our team and look forward to her expertise and skills to our administration
office.
