ABOUT PIHTWAHEW GIFT SHOP
The Pihtwahew Gift Shop opened its doors on December 8, 2017 and is conveniently located in the heart of Maskwacis Mall. The unique name “Pihtwahew” is a Cree word meaning “to give him/her a cigarette/smoke”. Hence, our main product in the business is to sell tobacco and other traditional and ceremonial products.
Pendleton Products ;such as, blankets, towels, mugs and travel mugs are amongst the many quality of products available for purchase from Pihtwahew Gift Shop. Also available are moccasins, regalia attire, clothing for men and women, beaded earrings and jewelry, and other light gifts created by some of Maskwacis’ local artisans.
On the shelves and in the coolers are confectionary items such as chips, gum, pop, water, assorted drinks and sandwiches made from our very own Pemiciso Café & Bistro that are ready to grab n go. In addition, Pihtwahew Gift Shop offers a cheque cashing service.
